Prize Day was celebrated by both Primary and Secondary Schools at the Marriott Hotel in Denia. It was, as always, a very special day for pupils, staff, parents and family. The Primary and Secondary Choirs performed beautifully to open their respective ceremonies. Our incoming Headmaster, Mr Chris Akin, sent a welcoming video wishing everyone a happy day which was viewed in both Prize Days. In the morning the younger members of our School community were each given a book as a token of recognition for their amazing learning throughout the year. This was followed by Key Stage 2 awards and in the afternoon the Secondary School Ceremony recognised the dedication and commitment of pupils who had shown outstanding effort or achievement during the academic year. Special prizes were also given, in both Primary and Secondary Departments, to students who demonstrated excellence in Sport, Drama, Art, Music and Learning. The Folland-Maddocks Cup was presented to a very deserving, Leonie Glück and this year a special award was given to Alba Andres Sanchez in memory of our beloved Head Girl, Tallulah Beard. After the Secondary School Award Ceremony, Year 13 students and their parents were invited, by ISP, to a drinks reception to show their appreciation of the loyalty and support given by these parents and students to The Lady Elizabeth School over the past years. It was also wonderful to see some of our former pupils who also attended Prize Day and the drinks reception.
Congratulations to all pupils, not just the ones who received awards, but to everyone of them for their efforts throughout the year, their support of their fellow students and for their amazing learning!
Have a safe and great holiday!
