As the Year 6 pupils were off to experience a day at the Secondary School, the Year 5 pupils were preparing to step into their shoes as they gave speeches as part of their application for Primary School Head Boy and Head Girl. The sheer number of applicants was astounding and the pitches were well prepared and impressive.
Every single boy and girl vying for the top badge holder jobs did us proud and spoke from the heart, telling us why they were perfect for the job and what they were planning to do to make our school even better; they did so in front of their fellow Year 5 class mates, our Head Teacher, Mrs Smith and the pupil council.
After the speeches, all students adjourned to their classes for a pupil vote for which the results will be announced at the next Prize Day on the 21st June.
As Mrs Smith related to the pupils, not all pupils can gain a position as Deputy or Head Boy or Girl but they should all be proud of themselves and their commitment to Lady Elizabeth Primary School!
