This week Year 5 have been investigating the flow of water as part of our “Go With The Flow” topic. The classes poured water over different slopes in the areas around the 5/6 block and noted the paths it created, including how it split into channels, created waterfalls and oxbow lakes and even formed mini deltas. It was a great way to see natural geographical features and, although they returned to their classrooms a little muddy, the pupils got better at using geographical terms and had fun at the same time. Next week we will consolidate and further this learning by visiting the Fonts D’Algar.
