Sixth Form Student Attends Medical Project in London

15th May 19

Six Form student, Siqi Li, gained a vast amount of experience and knowledge when she attended a one-week course, Medical Project London, over the Easter break. She said that the course gave her great inside into the working life as a Doctor in a hospital education centre. They were taught the fundamental skills needed to be a doctor as well as some practical clinical skills which included taking blood pressure, suturing etc. They worked together to consult, diagnose and treat patients across a range of emergency scenarios using advanced simulation equipment. It was an invaluable experience for Siqi and she was pleased to do a PowerPoint presentation to Year 11 students to let them know of some of the opportunities and courses which are available.
