From the beginning of the school year, the LEOS Club was already anticipating the Halloween celebrations that are an annual fund raiser organised by the students of Blue House. This seemed like the perfect way to kick start our own fund raising activities, and after being granted the permission, we started working on the preparations in September. Members of the Leos Club met every Wednesday, at break time with the purpose of discussing some original ideas to raise money for our chosen charities. We organised not only a hugely successful bake sale during break time on the day but also face painting and an impressive spooky photo booth. We raised a remarkable 554,22 Euros.
After meeting with the President of our parent charity, The Lions, last week we have decided that we will donate the money to Inakuwa, an organisation whose mission is to educate women and girls in underdeveloped countries. Of course, we will also continue supporting the Makimei Orphanage in Kenya in memory of Tallulah Beard.
