Primary School Choirs

4th July 18

On the last Friday of term both Junior and Senior Primary School Choirs performed two identical concerts for different audiences. The Junior Choir sang two rounds, one being ‘Music is Fun’, and then four songs from Mary Poppins. The Senior Choir sang a traditional English round and then an African Chant. They also performed the ‘Jonah Man Jazz’, a short cantata by Michael Hurd. They were accompanied by a wonderful friend of Mrs Baldwin’s, Gordon Lawson. The audiences included parents, Early Year and Key Stage 1 children for the first performance and then the rest of the school and the teachers for the second performance.

It was a beautiful morning and, despite the heat in the gym, everyone enjoyed the concerts. Mrs Baldwin was extremely proud of both choirs! Congratulations!
