Twenty participants from the Duke of Edinburgh International Award spent an adventurous weekend in the Pyrenees. They completed tough and long walks and spent one day canyoning in the beautiful Ordesa National Park. The weather and the scenery were spectacular and students worked hard overcoming blisters and sore legs to finish the walks. The canyoning was exciting for them and some had to push aside their fear of heights to abseil down a sheer drop into freezing cold river water.
When they returned to the campsite in the evening they were required to cook and fend for themselves.
It was a wonderful weekend and the students deserve praise for their excellent attitude over the whole five days.
