Some exceptional entries were submitted for the annual Christmas Cake Competition. Pupils from Year 7 and Year 8 decorated delicious chocolate logs. Several of them made their own snowmen, Santas, reindeer, Christmas trees, elves, penguins, polar bears and other Christmassy characters out of royal icing. Others favoured a more traditional style using pine cones, holly leaves, bells and stars. The imagination and flair demonstrated by the Year 7 and Year 8 students was evident in the amazing cakes which they produced.
Year 9 to Year 13 were required to make and decorate cupcakes for their entries. Once again the cakes were outstanding with many students obviously putting a lot of time and effort into their designs.
A very special thank you to Mrs Baker who was kind enough to do come out of retirement, (temporarily of course), and perform the very difficult job of judging.
Well done to all students who made the effort to enter the competition and congratulations to the winners.
