TO THE WINNERS OF THE NINTH LAUDE ESSAY COMPETITION
In the Annual Laude Essay Competition all the prizes awarded for entries in English have been won by the Lady Elizabeth School. In Year 7 (Shakespeare Category) Flora Malcolmson came second with a moving composition about a war torn zone called ‘Refugee Camp’. Daniel Meehan in Year 8 (Delibes Category) also came second with a psychological portrait of being a teenager in ‘I’m Losing Control’. In the Sixth Form (Dickens Category) Caitlin Hathaway won first prize for her lyrical composition ‘A Song of Serenity’. Second Prize was awarded to Elizavetta Frovlova with her poignant essay set in New York entitled ‘The Homeless man’. The winners are enjoying their prizes: Caitlin won an IPAD, Flora, Daniel and Elizavetta won IPODS.
