Top in Spain – Cambridge Examinations 2014 for AS English Language

Last year’s A Level student, Coral Butterworth, was delighted to receive news of her recent Cambridge Top in Spain Award for AS English Language. This prestigious award relates to the 2014 Summer Examination period. Coral’s English result completes a history of achievements during her time at school. Whilst in Year 7, Coral won the ‘Help for Heroes Essay Competition’, which was run by the Royal Society of St George in Spain. In Year 12 she was awarded First Prize in the Annual Laude Competition with a poignantly moving composition for ‘An Angel Who Flew too Soon’. Coral is a talented individual who writes with creative flair which is evident in her creative writing. To accompany her ‘Top in Spain’ for AS English Language, she also received a very high A Grade in A Level English Literature. Head of English, Dr Morris and Head of Key Stage 3 English, Mrs Maddocks, are delighted with the excellent results Coral has achieved as she has always been a hardworking and dedicated student who is very deserving of her accolades. Coral has gone onto study Law at Chester University.
