16th March 15
This year for ‘Carnaval’ week the Junior School organised fun activities which also represented the many different nationalities and cultures which are in the school. The Carnaval Lady visited each afternoon, as she does every year, and told the pupils what they had to wear the next day. On Monday the word ‘Hello’ had to be worn on a sticker in any language. On Tuesday the pupils wore a hat or cap which represented any country. On Wednesday flags from different countries all around the world were painted on the students faces. On Thursday, which was also Geography Day, students wore typical costumes or a style of dress from their countries. They could also wear blue to represent sea or green to represent the earth. On Friday it was dress-up day! During the parade many different wonderful costumes could be seen. A great week was enjoyed by all!
