During half-term, 36 International Award students and 6 staff spent a wonderful few days in the Pyrenees. With exciting river crossings, driving rain, cold, painful blisters and tiring mountain trekking nobody could suggest that it was a restful and relaxing holiday. However, the breathtakingly beautiful scenery, the sense of achievement and the wonderful food prepared by the staff made it all worthwhile. Every pupil should be proud of themselves. They showed great stamina and tenacity as they endured, on occasions, some difficult and challenging conditions to complete some very special walks.
A big thank you to ex-pupil Richard McEnery, whose vast experience was invaluable, and to his brother, Phil Anderson, who also accompanied the group on the trip.
We are now looking forward to our next adventure which will take our Award participants another step closer to achieving their goals.
