The Lady Elizabeth Senior School is a Coeducational Day School for pupils from 11 - 18 years. (Year 7 to Year 13)
Located in Llíber, the Senior School is nestled in the beautiful Jalón Valley in the Alicante region of Spain. It is in close proximity to Jávea, Denia, Calpe, Altea, Benidorm, Benissa, Moraira and all of the towns within the Jalón Valley.
The area is serviced by two international airports, one in Valencia and the second in Alicante, both approximately one hour away. The Senior School boasts mountain and valley views which change dramatically during the different seasons. The climate is perfect for outdoor pursuits and sporting activities.
Our Secondary Department enjoys impressive facilities including: Science Laboratories, Electronic Music Studio, Dance Studio, Computer Suites, Art Room, Textiles Room, Food Science Kitchen, Library, Media Studies Suite, Indoor Gymnasium, 25 Metre Swimming Pool, Hard Court Games Areas, Theatre and Cafeteria.
All students follow the British Curriculum strengthened by the opportunity to also study the Spanish Curriculum, (Lengua y Literatura, Valenciano and Cienicas Sociales, at Key Stage 3 and GCSE Level). At A Level students following the Spanish Curriculum are taught the following subjects in preparation for the 'fase especifica' examinations: Lengua Castellana y Literatura, Matemáticas, Geografía, Historia del Arte, Dibujo Técnico, Valenciano, Literatura Universal, Física y Biología.
During Tutor Group lessons we follow a personal, social and health education programme which includes our Value of the Month and the pupils participate in activities which re-enforce such values as Respect, Honesty, Tolerance, Achievement etc. We are proud of our House tradition, which contributes to the students' sense of belonging. Many charity and sporting events are organised within the houses and it gives pupils across all age ranges the chance to mix and be involved in fun and varied pursuits together as a team.
The Lady Elizabeth Senior School has developed enviable traditions in the fields of sport, music, speech, dance and drama. The School provides a wide range of extra-curricular activities and sporting competition is encouraged at all levels.
The staff are well qualified and enthusiastic with a low turnover which encourages stability. There is support for children with certain learning difficulties.
